I’m Nadia — a modern cake designer working across Suffolk, Essex and Norfolk. I create bespoke cakes with a clean European aesthetic, refined textures and a focus on balance, intention and contemporary design.

My work is rooted in the idea that a cake should feel considered — not just decorated, but designed.
I think in shape, structure, movement, colour and mood. Every cake begins long before the sponge is baked: with proportion, silhouette and the atmosphere you want your celebration to have.

My style leans towards modern minimalism, tall forms, smooth finishes, soft textures and sculptural details. I combine classic European technique with a fresh, artistic approach — creating cakes that feel elegant, expressive and personal.

My cakes are made for those who value more than a pretty finish — for those who want flavour, craftsmanship and artistic intention in every slice.

Every recipe is developed with a flavour-first approach. I use real ingredients — fresh fruit, hand-cooked caramel, Belgian chocolate, mascarpone-based creams, homemade confit and mousse-like textures — to create balanced layers that taste as good as they look. No pre-mixes, no artificial creams, no shortcuts.

Technique and craftsmanship at a professional level.

I work with a wide range of modern techniques: chocolate velvet spray, mirror glaze, stencil work, ombré and marble effects, sculpted silhouettes, multi-tier constructions, separators, faux tiers, engineered structures and cakes in non-standard shapes.
I also create wafer-paper elements and florals, hand-modelled décor, chocolate details, edible prints and fine piping work. Every finish — from the clean edge to the final texture — reflects control, precision and contemporary artistry.

What a heavenly flavour!

I'm from the continent and I was looking for flavours and textures closer to home for our wedding. Luckily, my English now-husband is very open as well so he agreed to skip the usual Victoria-sponge-chocolate-or-lemon-drizzle and fo for something fresh and unconventional. Absolutely delicious, fantastic and quirky combinations and the taste is unreal.
The finish was simple (white with fresh flowers) and Nadiia went the extra mile and got the perfect flowers for me.
I would highly recommend her anytime for any occasions.

What an amazing cake!

Highly recommend Wonderland bakehouse!

After having both the Black Forest and Pear&Walnut cakes - they are quite possibly the best special-ocasion cakes I have ever tasted. Indulgent and delicious but without the sticky sweetness that is often the character of such cakes. They are clearly made from the highest quality ingredients and they taste 100% better as a result. Top marks to Nadiia!
