At Wonderland Bakehouse, every cake is created and transported with great care.
Here you’ll find information on how delivery and collection work, including service areas and pricing.
Please note: delivery is not included in cake prices. Delivery fees are confirmed during the enquiry process.
Where I Deliver
I offer personal delivery to:
- Ipswich
- Suffolk
- Essex
- Selected parts of Norfolk
Delivery availability depends on the date and schedule.
Delivery Fees
Delivery pricing is kept transparent and based on distance and the time required for safe transport and setup.
Ipswich
£15 within Ipswich.
Outside Ipswich
£1.50 per mile
(calculated based on the full travel distance required for the order).
Wedding and multi-tier cakes
Minimum delivery and setup fee: £50.
If the mileage-based rate is higher than £50, the £1.50 per mile rate will apply.
This includes careful transport, on-site assembly and final decoration where needed.
Single-tier cakes outside Ipswich
Minimum delivery fee: £30.
If mileage exceeds this amount, the standard £1.50 per mile rate applies.
Wedding & Multi-Tier Cakes
Wedding cakes and all multi-tier cakes are delivered exclusively by me.
These designs often require on-site assembly, adding fresh florals or separators, and ensuring the cake is displayed safely on a stable, level surface.
Delivery for Other Cakes
Delivery is also available for:
- single-tier celebration cakes
- dessert tables
- tasting boxes
- corporate cakes
All cakes are transported in secure, non-slip packaging.
How Delivery Works
A delivery window will be confirmed in advance.
On the day of delivery, I will message you when I am on the way.
Cakes are handed directly to the client or venue contact.
Wedding cakes are set up fully and checked for stability before I leave.
Once delivered and accepted, responsibility for the cake transfers to the client or venue.
If You Cannot Receive the Delivery
If nobody is available at the agreed time, or access is restricted, the cake may need to be returned to the studio.
A second delivery attempt, if possible, will incur an additional fee.
Cake Collection (Pickup)
Pickup is available for single-tier and some two-tier cakes.
Pickup location: Ipswich (Stoke park area).
Collection times must be arranged in advance.
Once collected, the cake becomes the client’s responsibility.
Transport Tips for Pickup
- Transport the cake on a flat, cool surface (front passenger footwell is ideal).
- Do not place the cake on car seats or laps.
- Drive carefully and avoid sharp turns.
- Keep the vehicle cool.
- Travel directly to the destination.
After Delivery or Pickup
Please follow the storage instructions provided with your order to maintain the cake’s structure and quality.
